Special Event
Invitation Gallery
Each year the Perot Museum hosts a variety of invitation only events through its Founders Circle and Business Circle donor programs. Ranging from exclusive first looks at traveling exhibits, to joint celebrations with other museum programs, each event requires a look and feel that starts with the printed invitation. Below is a gallery of the various invitations I’ve designed and illustrated for those events.
Oktoberfest
Illustrations and designs for the Founders Circle event, Oktoberfest. The design, including custom typography, has several nods to the traditional colors and iconography derived from Bavarian flag and coat of arms.
The True Nature of Texas Explored
Illustration for the Junior Master Naturalist program’s The True Nature of Texas Explored event. Focused on showcasing the student’s knowledge and skill for environmental stewardship. A Frog on the cover was an easy choice because not only is it a common animal in the Texas ecosystem but also one of the many animals kept on site at the Perot Museum for teaching.
Wild About the Perot Museum
When both the Founders Circle and Business Circle programs wanted to invite its many donor families to the premiere of the Perot Museum’s newest film, Wild Africa 3D, I just knew I had to put an animal in 3D glasses. The custom rough typography helped complete the look of one of the fun illustrations I’ve ever gotten to work on.
Superhumans
This playful illustration came from a great idea the Perot Museum’s events team had to promote the joint Founders Circle and Business Circle event, Superhumans. The event centered around the opening of the Museum’s new Being Human Hall and exploring what makes a human super.
Bubbles & Bites
Bubbles & Bites was a special celebration welcoming the new CEO of the Perot Museum. Test tubes as clinking champagne glasses were used as a playful, but elegant nod to the museum itself.
